March 8th is International Women’s Day, a special occasion to honor the women who inspire and motivate us every day.
Who makes your life better? Don’t let shyness or routine get in the way—thank her for being who she is! While it’s always a good time to recognize the importance of her presence and companionship, this day is a perfect opportunity to show your support with heartfelt words or a thoughtful gesture.
At Premium Florist, we’re inspired by many women who, like our flowers, bring a universe of colors, creativity, deep expressions, and a variety of emotions to life.
That’s why, in this article, we want to tell you a little about someone who broke with convention, dared to be extraordinary, and deserves to be remembered on this special day: Constance Spry. You’ll see that both she and the women around you have something truly unique to offer the world.

Constance Spry. Mid-20th century British educator, florist and author.
An Innovative and Authentic Woman
Constance Spry was a pioneer, artist, and educator whose vision and creativity challenged expectations. She started by making floral arrangements for friends, and her success quickly led her to open her own floral design shop.
Her arrangements became popular because they were unique. She experimented with a wide variety of materials and techniques, standing out for her approach and ability to create genuine works of art.
By 1934, just six years after opening her business, Constance was managing over 70 employees!
She was responsible for decorating some of the most important social events in the United Kingdom at the time. However, in 1957, she was entrusted with the most significant task of her career: decorating Westminster Abbey and the entire procession route for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

All Forms of Beauty
While many stuck to tradition, Constance Spry dared to think outside the box, incorporating everything from wildflowers to fresh vegetables and fruits into her designs.
When we say her influence lives on in the world of floral art, just take a look at this beautiful basket of tropical fruits and lilies—it’s proof that her ideas are still alive today.
In her books, Constance emphasized the importance of being original, staying natural, and opening your mind to all forms of beauty, without fear of daring to be different and breaking the mold.
Always Unique and Original
Since Constance Spry’s legacy continues to inspire, if you’d like to embrace her originality with a more classic style, we invite you to explore our website.
On International Women’s Day, shades of purple, lilac, and violet are iconic. That’s why we encourage you to give flowers and arrangements in these colors, which symbolize feminine power, respect, and admiration.
And to delight an elegant woman who enjoys life’s pleasures and stands out for her sweetness, why not consider an innovative bouquet of chocolates? If Constance Spry taught us anything, it’s that the possibilities for design are endless.

A Day to Give Thanks
On this Women’s Day, we celebrate the women who inspire us and positively influence our daily lives.
Take a moment to thank your mother for her love and dedication; your sister and your partner, with whom you share everything and build respect and understanding; your daughter or best friend, who encourage you not to give up and help you discover more; and thank yourself for being strong, brave, creative, passionate, and for pursuing your dreams.
On this Women’s Day, we are reminded that every woman is an unstoppable force, a flame that illuminates not only her own path but also the paths of those around her. In the fabric of life, every action, every effort, every seed planted by a woman blossoms with love, hard work, and dignity.
Every woman is a catalyst for change, an architect of the future, building bridges toward a better world with every decision she makes, every word she speaks, and every act of kindness she performs. Communities thrive when women unite with resilience, challenge boundaries, and build with the conviction that progress is not only possible but inevitable.
Today, we celebrate all the women who have woven their stories into the fabric of humanity, and we look to the future with hope for a world where every woman empowers herself and, in doing so, empowers the community she calls home.
May every woman continue to be a force for transformation, a guiding light, and a source of inspiration. Happy Women’s Day! Together, we build a stronger, fairer, and more beautiful world.
